Worn out, rusted backboard and rim stopping the game? Don't stop playing ball, just replace it with a First Team RetroFit42 Impervia basketball backboard replacement kit and keep your existing pole! The RetroFit42 backboard package is an ideal, hassle-free choice for refreshing the existing backboard and rim but salvaging a perfectly good post, saving time and major money by not having to replace the entire system and getting a regulation-size 42 inch high backboard.
The sturdy RetroFit42 bracket is built with two vertical slots on the back side of the bracket. These slots are positioned 5" apart horizontally. Because the slots are 5" apart, it is recommended that the attachment plate at the end of the existing basketball post be at least 6" x 6" in size. NOTE: Four holes may need to be drilled into the mounting plate on the neck of the post to match the 5" slot dimension. Once attached, the vertical slots in the RetroFit36 bracket will allow the backboard and rim to be fine-tuned so perfect 10' rim height can be easily reached.

Limited Warranty Information for First Team RetroFit42 Impervia Backboard System - 60 Inch Aluminum
All First Team products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.
The First Team Lifetime Limited Warranty covers any damage caused by normal basketball activity and normal player contact with the goal. "Normal basketball activity" and "Normal player contact" shall be described as any action that is necessary for participation in the game of basketball. Deliberate hanging on the rim, multiple player hanging, and vandalism are not covered under the Limited Warranty.
Any normal wear and tear caused by weathering or UV exposure is not covered under any First Team warranty. All painted items carry a one year limited warranty on coating.
The First Team RetroFit42 Impervia Backboard System - 60 Inch Aluminum is considered an institutional basketball system, and is warranted for both residential and non-residential use.
